The biggest announcement at Apple's event yesterday may not have been the iPad, but the new Apple Pencil Pro.
All About Apple Pencil Pro – Full Guide & Review
The Apple Pencil Pro looks much the same as its predecessor: a pencil-shaped tube of white plastic with no buttons, ports, or blinking LEDs. But on the inside, it’s a whole new game, and unlike the new iPad Air or new iPad Pro, you can do a lot more with the new Pencil than you ever could before. It’s especially suited for anyone who likes to draw, paint, or retouch.
“When you squeeze the Pencil and get the haptic feedback, it feels like you’re squeezing the stem of your AirPods Pro, but there’s real, tactile feedback because there’s a haptic motor in the new Pencil. I love it, and the addition of a gesture is a fun way to simplify the interface while still providing quick access to drawing tools,” writes iPad superfan Federico Viticci on his Mac Stories blog.
First, what’s new? The Apple Pencil Pro gets a gyroscope, a pinch gesture, a haptic engine for physical feedback, and whatever chip is needed to add Find My, which it has now (pro tip: it’s probably on the back of the couch).
