People who want to dine out again but are still concerned about safety can turn to a new tech platform that displays restaurants’ COVID-19 protocols in one place.

DineSafe provides customers with real-time, up-to-date information about a restaurant’s safety and cleanliness, so people can feel safer and more confident when they decide to dine out. Restaurants have faced some of the strictest regulations since the pandemic began, but DineSafe wants to shine a light on everything the industry is doing to keep both employees and customers as safe as possible.
“We see that there is a way to get back into restaurants now, and we’ve found that customers appreciate that restaurants are listening to their concerns and what they’re worried about,” DineSafe CEO Ryan O’Donnell told Lifewire in a phone interview. “Our team has known all along that restaurants are taking this seriously, and DineSafe is like the light at the end of the tunnel.”
O'Donnell said DineSafe originally started as a way to digitize the ever-changing regulations when the pandemic first started.
