The move takes choice out of the hands of users, something experts say should never happen.
“This is a great time to recognize that our laws in the U.S. need to change,” Brad Snow, information technology advisor at IT Compliancy, told Lifewire via email.
"The reality is that many people will have no problem with tracking in the name of personalization. You're going to be seeing ads anyway, so many people will opt in to ads that are interesting and not generic. But again, the use of this data should be the user's choice."
