iOS has been announcing new features for a while now, and one of them seems to finally be catching up to the company’s claims. That is, of course, SharePlay, the ability to share content you find on the web directly with your friends and family using an iOS device. Apple wants the feature to bring people closer together in today’s virtual world, while also providing a platform for professional interactions. If you want to get the most out of SharePlay, here’s how to access it from anywhere on your iOS or iPadOS device.
Use SharePlay on iPhone or iPad | Apple Support
SharePlay is now part of iOS 15.4+, so there are a few requirements you'll need to meet to get the most out of this feature. Follow the guide below to get you started.
For SharePlay to work as intended, you need to open iOS’s Share sheet, not the app’s own share menu. If you see the latter instead, tap More in the app’s own share menu.
Once the iOS Share Sheet appears, iOS 15.4+ will automatically detect the link generated by the app for SharePlay. To share the selected content with your friends or family, tap the SharePlay option in the iOS Share Sheet, just below the generated link.
