This article explains how to add or suggest Calendar events from information in the Mail app, Messages app, and Safari browser. It also includes information about adding the suggested events to the Calendar app on iPhones running iOS 12 and later.

You can set your iPhone to have Siri suggest events it finds in the Mail app, Messages app, and Safari, such as meeting times or reservations. You can then choose to add them to the Calendar app.

For example, if an email says, “How about dinner tonight at 8:00 PM? Or would you prefer Wednesday around 7:00 PM?” the Mail app will underline those times so you can easily add one or both to your calendar.

You do need to enable Siri for this feature. Here’s how.
