iOS 17 brought with it numerous changes and new features and one of them is the ability to assign special pronouns to your contacts on your iPhone. This can help you refer to your contacts by their preferred pronouns without having to keep track of them in your entire contacts list.

These pronouns are displayed at the top of a contact card and are also easily accessible the next time that contact decides to call you. Let's take a look at how to add pronouns for your contacts on iOS 17.

Open the Contacts app and tap a contact you want to add pronouns to.
