This article explains how to add an Outlook.com email account to Outlook 2007 and later for Windows.
Microsoft currently only supports Outlook 2007 version 12.0.6680.5000 and later. However, you can use any supported or unsupported version of Outlook to access your Outlook.com email.
Unsupported versions of Outlook have limited functionality and do not provide access to calendars, contacts, or tasks. Therefore, it is not recommended to use an unsupported version of Outlook.
Open Outlook. Go to Tools and select Account Settings.
