This article explains how to back up your Opera Mail messages, which is useful if you need to restore emails or account settings. Since Opera version 15, released in 2013, Opera Mail has been a separate program. In older versions, the email client was part of the browser.

The steps to save your Opera Mail emails depend on whether you are using Opera Mail in the Opera browser or as a standalone program. Any differences will be noted in the instructions.

Select Opera Mail in the upper-left corner of the window, and then choose Help > About Opera Mail.

Copy the location next to Mail folder and close the program.
