Something every PC owner should know
Start Windows 10 in Safe Mode
If your computer is acting strangely, Windows Safe Mode can help you troubleshoot problems that interrupt Windows or prevent it from starting normally. This lets you perform repairs yourself without having to go to a computer repair shop.
Safe Mode starts Windows in a basic state using a limited set of files and drivers. This allows you to observe Windows and determine the source of the problem.
Before Windows 10, you could easily enter Safe Mode by repeatedly pressing the F8 key during restart. Some computer manufacturers have since disabled the F8 key functionality, but you can still use the F8 method to enter Safe Mode in Windows 7, Vista, and XP.
