There are a few requirements for breeding pets in The Sims 2:
When pets are ready to breed, they go to the pet house. When the female pet becomes pregnant, you will hear the same sound that is played when a Sim becomes pregnant. She will be pregnant for three days before giving birth, just like Sims.
The Sim's pet can give birth to up to four puppies or kittens. The maximum size of a litter depends on how many Sims and pets are already in the home. After they are born, kittens and puppies can be sold or given to other Sim families. The amount of money you earn depends on how well trained the pet is.
