This article explains how to mount an ISO image on a flash drive so that you can boot from it properly to install an operating system or run another bootable program.
How to Burn ISO to USB (Create Bootable USB)
Burning an ISO image file to a USB device, such as a flash drive, usually takes less than 20 minutes, but the total time depends heavily on the size of the ISO file. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as simply copying the file to the USB device.
Download Rufus, a free tool that will properly prepare the USB flash drive, automatically extract the contents of the ISO file and correctly copy the files contained in it to your USB device, including all the files in the ISO needed to make the device bootable.
Rufus is a portable program (it does not need to be installed on your computer), works on Windows 11, 10 and 8 and will 'burn' an ISO image file onto any type of USB storage device you have.
