How to cancel your Microsoft 365 subscription | Quick and easy
The buzz is causing many people to try out the new and improved suite of office tools on a trial basis. But it may not be for everyone, and not everyone wants to continue after the trial period.
That’s why in this guide, we’ll explain how to cancel your Microsoft 365 trial (and paid subscriptions), when exactly you should do it, and what to watch out for if you don’t want the process to fail or get charged in any way.
A couple of things need to be said right away. If you have multiple licenses associated with your account, such as for your family or business, canceling your subscription will also terminate the licenses for those other accounts. Conversely, if you are part of a family or business subscription, you will need to contact the person whose account has billing administrator rights to cancel your Microsoft 365 subscription, regardless of whether it is a trial or not. You should also consider storing your files offline, as you will lose your OneDrive storage bonus, which will drop from 1TB to a measly 5GB.
