While it might not be wise to try this in real life, players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons can fish for a shark. You can donate a shark to the museum, sell one for Bells, or display one somewhere on your island. There are several sharks in the game, and you'll have to keep your eyes peeled to catch one.
How to Catch the Great White Shark and More in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Catching a shark is generally similar to catching traditional fish. Sharks are harder to catch and harder to catch. You will first need to buy or make a fishing rod.
Go to any edge of your island and look out at the ocean. Make sure you don’t sprint, or the sound of your footsteps might scare the fish away. Sharks are much rarer than regular fish, so it might take a while to patrol the ocean around your island and catch one. It might help to throw out fishing bait made with manila clams.
As usual, look for the shadow outline of a fish. Look for a larger creature with a shark fin sticking out of the water. Cast your line using the “A” button so that the float lands in front of the shark. The shark will gently nibble on the float — when it bites and your controller vibrates more intensely, press “A” again to reel in the shark.
