This article explains how to change the folder icon in Windows 11 for regular folders, special desktop icon folders (e.g. Recycle Bin and This PC), and hard drives. Windows comes with its own set of icons to choose from, but you can also create custom folder icons.

You can change the icon for regular folders through the folder's properties window.

Right-click on the folder and select Properties.

Go to the Customize tab at the top of the window, then select Change Icon at the bottom.
