Both Android and iOS have introduced dark mode to the masses in recent years. Over the years, almost every app has adopted this accessibility feature, except for Snapchat. Yes, you heard that right, Snapchat never had a dark mode until now, and you can finally reduce the strain on your eyes if you use Snapchat a lot. Let’s take a quick look at the feature.
Snapchat recently rolled out an update to its iOS app that gives select users access to the new Dark Mode feature within Snapchat. This feature is currently being tested in beta and appears to be a server-side allowance. Once it rolls out to the public in the coming days, it should be available to all users.
If Dark Mode isn’t available to you right now, don’t worry, because you’ll be able to use it soon once it’s widely released to the public. But if it is, or if you already have it, here’s how to enable or disable Dark Mode in your Snapchat app. If you don’t want your Snapchat to go dark, you can certainly disable it in the app’s settings.
You will need the latest version of Snapchat on your iPhone for this to work, so we recommend updating your app to the latest version before continuing with the guide.
