There are about three billion people who use Facebook every month, and it stands to reason that some of them, for privacy reasons or a whim, don’t always want to use their real name. Or maybe they’ve changed it. Whatever the reason, there are a few ways to make it happen.

Before you go ahead with your name change, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Facebook has a few rules under their name standards. Names on the platform cannot have the following:

Symbols, numbers, unusual capitalization, repetitive characters or punctuation marks

Characters from multiple languages
