With the full release of V Rising, numerous mechanics have changed in the game. While exploring the Gloomrot region, players will find numerous empty batteries. While it may seem like a useless item at the moment, it will come in very handy if you want to craft Power Cores that can then be used to create Onyx Tears. In order for that to happen, players will need to recharge empty batteries in V Rising.

While it can be a little confusing at first, farming this item can be relatively simple once you know what to do. Luckily, there are a few enemies in Gloomrot that will also drop this item. If you want to drain those batteries and recharge them, this guide has you covered.

If you want to recharge empty batteries in V Rising, you’ll need the Lightning Harvester. There are numerous points of interest throughout the region that have a Lightning Harvester that players can use for this purpose, and one of the best locations is Thunderstrike Peak. Once you have 10 empty batteries, players can interact with a Lightning Harvester and click on the “Charged Battery” icon that appears in the new window. This will give you 10 charged batteries each time you use it.

Players can find Depleted Batteries while exploring both areas of Gloomrot, with the northern half of the region likely having more of them. Players can break some tech scrap piles and even hunt down automaton enemies like Gattlers and Zappers to quickly collect Depleted Batteries.
