One of them is the list of recently used files for Microsoft Word. This option gives you quick access to the documents you have recently worked on, and by clicking on one of them, the file will be opened in the program.

It is a fairly quick way to get back to work you left unfinished last time. You basically save yourself the trouble of having to manually find the document wherever it is on your computer. The software finds it and displays it for you.

While it is a very useful feature, it may not be for some users. If you are someone who never uses this list of recently used files in Word and you would rather not have it there, you can disable it in the program.
