Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree adds about a dozen oddball characters, one of which you’ll first encounter crying desperately on the road next to the Pillar Path waypoint. Drake Warrior Igon is an oddball sort, but if you’re planning on climbing Jagged Peak, you won’t want to miss his quest.

You'll first encounter Drake Warrior Igon at the Pillar Path Waypoint in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree's first region, Gravesite Plain. It's located just below the Suppressing Pillar, the gigantic tower that can be seen throughout the Land of Shadow. At the Site of Grace, you can hear Igon's cries and groans, as he's being tormented by someone, or something. Talking to Igon here won't reveal much, but you'll encounter him again later.
After completing the Dragon's Pit mini-dungeon in southern Gravesite Plain (south of the Pillar Path Waypoint), head towards Jagged Peak until you reach the Foot of the Jagged Peak Site of Grace. From here, continue forward and you'll eventually come across two Jagged Peak Drakes in an open area. Kill them both – they're easy if you pull one at a time and fight on horseback.
When you emerge victorious from the battle against the Jagged Peak Drakes, you’ll hear the congratulatory cries of none other than Igon. He’ll praise you for being a true Drake Warrior and make a request: summon him when you fight Bayle the Dread. Use his dialogue until he gives you Igon’s Furled Finger, an important item that makes Igon’s summoning sign visible in Bayle’s boss room.
