If you have a Google Home device or access to the Google Assistant, you can control your Nest Learning Thermostat using voice commands. In this guide, we'll show you how to connect a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-generation Nest to Google Home, as well as a Nest Thermostat E. We'll also provide instructions on how to control Nest with your voice.

Once you have installed both your Nest thermostat and your Google Home device, follow the procedure below to connect the two devices.

Open Google Assistant.

Tap your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen to open the main menu. Then scroll down and select Home controls.
