While Sony’s DualShock 4 controller is specifically designed to work optimally with the PS4 console, you can also use the controller with your PC. Here’s how to do it:
Connect PS4 Controller to PC [Quick & Easy]
There are a couple of ways to connect your PS4 controller to your PC. The first is via USB cable. To do this, you’ll need your PS4 controller and a micro USB cable, like the one that came with your controller. Next, plug the micro USB end of the cable into your controller and the other end into a USB port on your computer. And that’s it, your PS4 controller is now ready to use on your PC.
The other way to connect is wirelessly via Bluetooth. To connect, make sure your controller is turned off and then press and hold the PlayStation button (the button in the middle of the controller with a PS icon on it) and the Share button (the button to the left of the touchpad) for about three seconds until the light bar at the top of the controller starts to double-flash.
On your PC, go to Settings, then Devices and Bluetooth & other devices. Above the Bluetooth toggle, you should see a + icon and Add Bluetooth or other device next to it. A list should appear asking for your device type; select the Bluetooth option at the top of the list. You should then see a list of Bluetooth devices you can pair with; find your PS4 controller in that list and click on its name to connect.
