This article explains how to install a stereo system or speakers to a TV. Instructions apply to televisions from many manufacturers, including but not limited to LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, and Vizio.
You will likely need a 4-6 foot analog audio cable with stereo RCA or miniplug connectors. If your TV and stereo system support HDMI connections, be sure to bring those cables as well. Once you have all of your supplies, connect your speakers to your TV with the appropriate audio cables and turn on your TV and speakers.
Clear the space around the TV so there is room for the speakers and enough room to put everything in place. Then follow these steps in the order they are listed.
Place the stereo receiver or amplifier as close to the TV as possible, but make sure that other devices are still within easy reach (for example, leave room for your cable or satellite box, DVD player, Roku, etc.).
