If your iPad has a Lightning connector, use Apple’s Lightning to USB-3 Camera Adapter. This adapter has a Lightning port that you can plug into a wall outlet to charge your iPad while you’re using it. It also has a USB port, which means you can connect any compatible USB device to your iPad, like wired keyboards and MIDI devices.

For newer generation iPads with USB-C ports, a USB-C to USB adapter is required.
