This article explains how to set up smart lights, smart switches, and smart home hubs with an Alexa-compatible Echo device.

Before you get started, make sure your smart bulb is compatible with Alexa. Then, install the bulb according to the manufacturer’s instructions and give it a name. This usually involves screwing the smart bulb into a working electrical outlet. If a hub other than Alexa is involved, refer to the instructions.
