Using a nitro-infused vehicle in Fortnite has benefits such as increased driving speed, explosive ramming power, reduced fuel consumption, and buffs to attack mods. However, many players don’t know that you can also run your vehicle on water.

One of the weekly quests in Fortnite Chapter Five, Season Three asks players to do just that and travel a distance over water while soaked in Nitro, which may have some people confused. Here's how to complete the challenge and earn 15,000 XP to help level up your Battle Pass.

First, you’ll need to get your hands on Nitro-fied vehicles or Nitro-infuse regular vehicles. To do this, you’ll need to defeat one of the three bosses and get their medallion to gain access to their vehicles, which have a generous amount of infinite Nitro fuel in the cars.

If you can’t defeat the bosses, you can also look for the Nitro Splash consumable and use it on your vehicle to Nitro-fied it, or even drive over orange cans called Nitro Barrels that you can find along the roads. You can also use the Flaming Boost Hoops to get the effect, or meet up with Peabody, one of the NPCs this season who spawns at the Nitrodome point of interest and sells the Nitro Splash for 100 gold.
