This article explains how to create a key eject function on your Chromebook and use key combinations to replace missing keys on your Chromebook.

Chromebook "Remove Keyboard" with "Search Button + Backspace". Delete writing text or delete a file

To mimic the functionality of the Delete key on Chrome OS, you can use the following keyboard shortcut: Alt+Backspace. This key combination can be pressed for a variety of reasons, such as deleting a file or erasing the character to the right (or in front of) your blinking cursor.

The Backspace key, on the other hand, is essentially the Delete key on a Chromebook. You can use this key without any additional keys to delete the character to the left of (or after) the cursor.

In other cases, such as when working with files or a selected block of text, you can right-click the item you want to delete and then select Delete from the context menu.
