How to Create Partition in Windows 10 and Windows 11 | Create New Drive (2021)
There are many reasons why you might want to create a partition from free space on your Windows drive. The most common reason is usually to install another operating system (such as Linux) so that you can dual boot your PC.
Other reasons might be that you want to create a new hard drive that is separate from your C: drive and is only intended for data. Or you want to create an encrypted partition that no one can access without the correct security keys.
Regardless of the reason, you shouldn’t jump into the process right away. There are a few things you should do to make sure you size the new partition correctly and that you have a fallback plan in case things go wrong.
