Microsoft has rebranded its Lens app as Microsoft Lens. While there are countless applications that scan documents and convert them to text, Microsoft Office Lens (as it was previously known) has delivered a seamless document scanning experience that only a select few can match.
But the change isn’t just nominal. Microsoft Lens comes with a new Actions mode—an intelligent camera feature—that turns images into text (and more). Here are all the ways you can turn images into text with Microsoft Lens.
The Microsoft Lens update offers a faster way to convert your images to text. The new Actions mode has an intelligent feature that quickly extracts text from images and lets you copy it to the clipboard without having to save the entire document first. Here's how to take advantage of this new feature.
Open Microsoft Lens and tap the Actions mode. The image-to-text function is the first available sub-mode, so you don’t need to select anything. Bring the printed text into the orange zone, then tap the circular text-mode camera button.
