Building your new home in the distant world is much easier with your mechanical assistant. But to get the most out of your robot builder, you'll need to know how to customize your Mech in Lightyear Frontier.
How to Upgrade All Mech Tools in Lightyear Frontier
To customize your trusty Mech in Lightyear Frontier, you’ll need three things: Blueprints, Parts, and an Upgrade Depot. However, you’ll also need a Merchant Landing to get Blueprints and Parts. The Upgrade Depot lets you customize and upgrade your Mech’s appearance and stats.
Stand in front of your Mech and hold the Secondary Tool Action button. This will turn your pickaxe into a magnetic tool that will pull the mech parts towards you. Point at the part of your Mech to detach it, then aim outside the Mech and press the Primary Tool Action buttons to throw the part away. Do this with all the parts you want to remove.
Once you’ve removed all of the parts, head over to the Upgrade Depot quest table at the end of it. The Upgrade Depot menu has two sections: Mech Upgrades and Mech Customization, and we need the latter. In the customization menu, select the parts you want to attach to your Mech, and they’ll appear for you. Now log out of the Upgrade Depot menu and attach the new parts with your magnetic tool.
