There are multiple bosses you’ll fight in Once Human that will test your skills and the many items you’ve crafted along the way. One of these bosses, the Shadow Hound, is a fearsome foe that can overpower you if you’re not careful.

You won't be tackling the Shadow Hound too early in your Once Human playthrough, but if you do, there are a few things you'll want to know before you challenge him. You'll want to have plenty of Activators crafted, ammo stockpiled, and useful items on hand to aid you during the encounter.
When you are ready to challenge the Shadow Hound at the Monotith of Thirst, there will be a large arena with the Shadow Hound on the other side. Entering this arena will trigger the fight. Unless you are fighting with multiple allies, I do not recommend using a melee weapon. Stay at a distance during this Once Human encounter.
The Shadow Hound uses a variety of attacks during this encounter. One of the more standard attacks is a rush forward, where it will attempt to run through you and across the arena. The normal attack for this is the Shadow Hound running across the arena, or it can attempt to use two strikes during this rush. The two strike rush hits for much more damage, by rushing forward to hit its right and left sides. You will want to dodge out of the way of this attack as the Shadow Hound rushes forward.
