This article explains how to delete photo or video posts from your Instagram account. We'll also discuss archiving posts if you'd rather not delete them.

These instructions are for the official Instagram app. You can also delete or archive posts via the web version on Instagram.com using these steps, but the interface will look a little different.

Open the Instagram app (log into your account if necessary) and tap the profile icon.

Select the message you want to delete to view it.
