This article explains how to delete an AIM account. When you cancel an AOL account, you permanently lose access to your data and content, such as emails, contacts, and calendar events.

Here's how to manually close your AIM account, including your AOL email account:

Log in to the AOL account termination page using your AOL or AIM username and password.

Select Continue and Delete My Account to terminate your AOL or AIM Mail account.
