Keyboard shortcuts, often called hotkeys, increase productivity in Microsoft Word by keeping your hands on the keyboard, not the mouse. Most start with the Ctrl key, although some use the Alt key. For example, the shortcut Ctrl+C copies selected text to the clipboard. Word comes with many keyboard shortcuts, but you can create your own. You can also disable them.

You can't turn off all the shortcuts at once; you have to do this one by one for the keystroke combinations you don't want. To turn off a keystroke combination in Word, follow these steps:
Select File > Options to open the Word Options dialog box.
Select Customize Ribbon.
