This article explains how to disable or remove Chrome plugins and extensions. Instructions apply to all versions of the Chrome browser.

There are two ways to remove or disable Chrome extensions. The first is through the Chrome menu and the second is by entering a specific URL into the Chrome navigation bar.

Enter chrome://extensions into the navigation bar in Chrome or use the menu button (the three vertical dots) in the top-right corner of Chrome to open the More tools > Extensions option.

Slide the switch next to the extension you want to manage to the left to disable it, or click Remove to remove it and click again to confirm. Slide the switch to the right to re-enable an extension.
