How to Enable and Disable the Chrome PDF Viewer
Google Chrome's built-in PDF file viewer is enabled by default. This is useful if you want to view PDFs as quickly as possible, but if you'd rather download copies of PDF files, you can disable the Chrome PDF viewer to have those downloads happen automatically.
Open your Chrome web browser and select the three vertical dots (More icon) in the top right corner.
Select Settings from the drop-down list.
