Android 10’s new gesture navigation has drawn a lot of criticism, and we have to say, some of it is justified. While we don’t find much of a problem with the back gesture and the slide-in navigation bar gesture, we are annoyed that you can’t use the Android 10 gesture on third-party launcher apps, including Nova Launcher.
Alternative method to use gestures on third-party launchers (including Nova)
Since Android 10 is now available for major phones like OnePlus 7, OnePlus 6 and more, you would expect the issue to be fixed by now, but in reality, the problem is still there.
It’s been a couple of weeks since Samsung made the grand unveiling of the One UI 2 for the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 devices. Last week, the third version of the beta was rolled out for the S10 devices and it’s safe to say that the reception has been pretty positive with most users loving the small tweaks that Samsung has squeezed into the release and also the promise of more such changes in the months to come.
One UI 2 (new features here) brings nearly all of Android 10’s celebrated features, including the revamped gesture navigation. S10 and Note 10 users will find Samsung’s implementation even more refined than Google’s own, and will be eager to see it in action in third-party launcher apps — Nova Launcher, Apex Launcher, etc.
