The iPad has become more popular since its initial release and has become the go-to tablet for many people. Sometimes your iPad can freeze or crash while you are in an app or on the home screen. There are a few things that can cause this problem, but there are solutions you can try.

Some solutions only take a few seconds, while others take longer, but one of these solutions should get your iPad up and running again in no time. Some solutions can be performed on a frozen iPad, but some require waiting until the iPad is up and running again to address the source of the problem.
Restart your iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on your tablet for a few seconds. If you can turn your iPad off this way, a screen will appear with a prompt to slide to power off. Do this and then press the Sleep/Wake button again to restart your iPad. If your iPad doesn’t restart, perform a force restart.
Perform a force restart. Force the iPad to restart by simultaneously holding down the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for a few seconds. Release the buttons when the Apple logo appears.
