The Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error in Windows 10, “Thread stuck in device driver”, is caused when a specific driver gets stuck in an endless loop, waiting for the hardware to enter an inactive state.

This usually has to do with the driver hardware itself. Why would driver software do this? There could be a number of reasons.
