Microsoft's Xbox 360 gaming console can connect to Xbox Live over Wi-Fi for online gaming, video streaming, and other Internet features. If you're having trouble connecting, learn how to troubleshoot common Xbox 360 wireless connection issues.
Fix Xbox Not Connecting to WiFi & Network Issues (3 Easy Steps & More!)
Try these steps in the order given until your console can connect to the Internet:
Check your network password. Wireless connections on Xbox 360 sometimes refuse to accept the Wi-Fi network password. Check that you have entered the password for your home wireless router correctly, remembering that passwords are case-sensitive.
Disable Wi-Fi encryption. If your Xbox is telling you that the network password is incorrect, even if you know it's correct, it usually means that the type of network encryption set on the Xbox is incompatible with that of the router. This often happens when the router is set to WPA2-AES. Temporarily disable Wi-Fi encryption to confirm that this is the problem, then adjust the settings on both devices to get a working combination.
