There are many reasons why Chrome might not be working, and some are more complicated than others. Often, the exact problem is not clear until the corresponding solution has been tried.
Follow these steps in the order presented to resolve the Chrome issue and get the browser working again.
Force close unresponsive tabs. Sometimes, Chrome tabs crash or freeze. In such situations, use the Chrome Task Manager to force close individual tabs. Go to the More menu (three vertically aligned dots) and select More tools > Task manager.
