As long as you’re within range of a network, it’s usually pretty easy to get texting working again. Here’s what we’ve found works.
How to Fix Messages Not Sending on iPhone
Follow these instructions to get your iPhone ready to send text messages again.
Connect to a network. Messages go through your mobile carrier’s connection. If you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network instead, your iPhone uses the Wi-Fi connection. If you’re connected to Wi-Fi, turn off Wi-Fi, wait for iPhone to connect to your carrier’s network, then try sending a message again.
Turn Airplane Mode on and off. Toggling Airplane Mode on and off forces the iPhone to request a new connection to the network, and texting should work again.
