When you try to connect to a network resource, such as another computer, a mobile device, or a printer, from a Microsoft Windows computer, you occasionally receive the error message "network path not found": Error 0x80070035. The computer cannot connect over the network to the other device. This error message is displayed:
Any of the various and unrelated technical issues on a network will generate this error. Steps and issues will differ depending on whether you are using an enterprise-grade server to share documents, standard Network File Sharing in Windows, or the Windows HomeGroup networking feature.
Use valid pathnames. Error 0x80070035 occurs when the network is working as intended, but people mistype the network pathname. The path specified must point to a valid shared resource on the remote device.
Enable sharing on the remote device. If the remote device is not configured to share files or printers, you will never get a connection. Check to see if file and printer sharing is enabled on the remote computer, or enable it if necessary.
