Early access releases are often buggy, and Nightingale is no exception. If you experience crashes when launching Nightingale, here's how to fix any startup errors that may be causing this.
How to Fix Nightingale Not Starting/Won't Boot on PC
There are a few reasons why Nightingale might crash during launch on PC. Try the following solutions so that you can explore the Fae Realms without any errors. If none of these solutions work, however, you may have to wait for developer updates before you can play Nightingale.
The most common reason for Nightingale to crash on startup is an outdated graphics driver. If you encounter this error, you will be prompted with a message that you need to download the latest graphics driver for your PC. Fortunately, this is an easy problem to fix; when the error message appears, select “Yes” and you will be taken to the website of your graphics card manufacturer (Intel, Nvidia, AMD, or other).
While the exact process will depend on your graphics card, most websites have a tool that will automatically detect which driver you need to download. While this driver will be the most recent for your graphics card, the error message will tell you the oldest possible version that you can use to run Nightingale. Simply download the driver from here and restart your PC if necessary. Make sure to completely close Nightingale before attempting to restart it.
