If your iPhone's Personal Hotspot isn't working, follow these suggestions (in order) to get it working again.
Turn Personal Hotspot off and on. Sometimes you’ll need to reset your Personal Hotspot to get it working again. Do this by toggling it on and off: Tap Settings > Personal Hotspot > move the Allow Others to Join slider to off/white, then back to on/green.
Turn mobile data on and off. The issue with Personal Hotspot may be related to your iPhone’s connection to mobile data networks. If your phone has trouble connecting to those networks, Personal Hotspot may not work either. Reset your mobile data connection by toggling it on and off: Tap Settings > Cellular > move the Mobile Data slider to off/white and then back to on/green.
