How to Fix Sleep Problems in Windows 10 [Quick Guide]
PCs with sleep mode should go into sleep mode after the time specified in the settings has elapsed. If this does not happen, it is cause for concern because something is wrong with your system.
There are a few methods you can follow to work around the issue when Windows 10 won’t go to sleep. These methods include checking whether sleep mode is enabled and whether the power settings are configured correctly.
Before you begin, it’s also worth checking your BIOS settings to make sure your PC is enabled for sleep or suspend mode. If that feature is disabled in the BIOS, none of the solutions below will help. Dell has a good article on enabling sleep mode in the BIOS. If you have a different computer manufacturer, simply Google the manufacturer’s name along with sleep mode for instructions.
