In this case, “memory” doesn’t refer to hard drive space. It refers to random access memory (RAM). This is your computer’s high-speed working memory, and it exists as physical microchips separate from the hard drives that permanently store your operating system, apps, and data.
This means that to solve this problem, you will need to free up your computer's RAM. However, it also doesn't hurt to free up some disk space if you are running low on memory.
