Windows 7/8/10: Manually Force Update Group Policy
As an IT administrator, I often make a change to group policy in Active Directory and need to manually refresh the policy on a client computer. Depending on the operating system you are using, the command to refresh group policy is different.
There is also a difference between refreshing a policy and forcing a policy refresh. A standard policy refresh downloads only the settings that have changed. A forced refresh reapplies all settings.
