This article describes how to freeze rows and columns in Excel so that they are always visible no matter where you scroll. Instructions apply to Excel 2019, 2016, 2013, 2010, 2007; Excel Online; and Excel for Mac 2016 and later.

Follow these three steps to keep your worksheet header in place.

Select View on the ribbon.

Select Freeze Panes. If you are using Excel for Mac, skip this step.
