If you want to Prestigious a Descendant, there are items that you need to collect before you can do so. You also need to make sure that you meet all of the requirements, otherwise you won't be able to unlock these enhancements. There is one specific item that you need to find in The First Descendant, and it can take quite a while before you can purchase it.
When your Descendant reaches level 40, they have the prestige option to reset their level to one. You can do this with the Crystallization Catalyst, a unique weapon that you can research by talking to Anais. You can find them on the eastern side of Albion in the hub city. After talking to them, select the Crystallization Catalyst and have them build one for you, but only if you have the required materials to craft it.
