While it wasn’t a bad decision, you might often think about the amount of mushrooms it could have given you. Well, you don’t have to regret it anymore, you can now grow different types using the Mushroom Log in Stardew Valley.
MUSHROOM TRUNKS FARM | Stardew Valley 1.6 update
This item was introduced in the 1.6 update of SDV with a bunch of other craftables that would make your life in the valley easier. For now, let's focus on unlocking the recipe, crafting it, and using it for resources.
The Mushroom Log recipe unlocks at level 4 foraging. Like other craftables, it can be found in the Crafting section. It requires 10 Hardwood and 10 Moss. Once you have the ingredients, drag the log from Crafting to Inventory to craft it.
Hardwood is cut from mahogany trees and obtained from the large trunks of the secret forest. As for moss, you get that from the trees with moss. You don't have to cut those trees, just knock them over and they will drop the item.
